Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin Inspects the Kazakh Reconstruction Project of State-owned Highways Run by CITIC Construction

On May 23, 2019, Askar Mamin, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, inspected the Kazakh reconstruction project of state-owned highways run by CITIC Construction, including the Taldykorgan-Ust-Kamenogorsk highway (the TKU Project) and the Karaganda-Balkhash highway (the KB Project). Yang Jianqiang, Vice President of CITIC Construction, made work reports on the spot.

Yang Jianqiang briefed Askar Mamin on the overall objectives of the TKU and KB projects, the annual plan and the current project progress, and reported on the existing problems and the specific corresponding measures taken in the project. Askar Mamin fully recognized the efforts and achievements that CITIC Construction had made in the TKU and KB projects, and expressed that he himself, the ministries and commissions of the central government and local governments at all levels of Kazakhstan, and the proprietor of the projects would give all possible support and assistance to the project implementation.

Askar Mamin’s inspection was accompanied by Roman Sklyar Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan; Amandyk Batalov, Governor of Almaty Region; Berik Kamaliev, Vice-Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan; officials from the Prime Minister’s Office of Kazakhstan as well as relevant personnel from CITIC Construction’s East Europe and CIS Division.
