Huizhou Cross-city Highway Project
The first-class highway design standard was adopted for this two-way six-lane highway with a total length of 26.145 km (including 22.738-kilometer-long trunk line and 3.407-kilometer-long branch line) and a designed speed of 60 km/h. The whole project included large, middle, and small bridges along the highway of a total length of 1,074.44m (excluding super-large bridges and bridges within the interchange scope), a 1,178.2-meter-long super-large bridge (Dongjiang Fourth Bridge), two large bridges (762.08m), three middle-sized bridges (226.36m) and five small bridges (86m). The Huizhou Cross-city Highway Project built altogether five interchanges, one trunk line toll station and one maintenance zone. The project began in 2002 and was completed in 2005.
